There is still time to participate Legislative Redistricting Committee – They will be in Park City tonight – July 26th at 6:00 PM

This is the last of the Committee’s public hearings for this year. For all of who you haven’t made it to our other 16 meetings, now is your chance! The meeting will be held at the Park City High Lecture Hall, which is located at 1750 Kearns Blvd. The meeting begins at 6 PM.

Be sure to check out the notice, so you have an idea what the meeting will be like.

Also, for those who have submitted plans via our awesome redistricting tool, if you’d like, you have the opportunity to present and explain your plan personally to the Committee at the meeting. This a great opportunity to provide personally input about how you feel the process should be going.

We look forward to hearing you input, and see you there.

Using information from the 2010 Census, the Utah State Legislature will redraw districts for our State Legislature, State School Board and The United States House of Representatives. “Redistricting ensures that each citizen’s vote carries the same weight and preserves the ideal of one person, one vote”. (redistrictutah.com)

Redistricting can also determine the balance of political parties in our country and state and how well your area of the state is represented. Don’t let this process happen without your voice. Please plan to attend, listen, learn, and participate. Go to http://www.redistrictutah.com for additional information about the process and to comment online.
