Region 4 Posts

Welcome to Region 4, serving Salt Lake Valley from Davis county line to point of the mountain EAST of I-15. For more information contact Jessica Kerr by email at ourworld.jessicakerr@yahoo.com.

Jessica was born in Louisiana but has lived in Utah most of her life.  She attended Westminster College where she met her husband, majoring in Business with a minor in Music.  Jessica’s husband served in the U.S. Army which took their family to stations in Georgia, Kansas, and Iowa.  Jessica and her husband have five amazing children and while living in Iowa, our sons’ disability became more apparent prompting us to move back home to Utah.  Her sons disability motivated her to get involved in the disability advocacy world.  Jessica currently serves on the Senator Orrin Hatch Committee, Granite School District Community Council at Upland Terrace Elem., The Carmen B. Pingree Center for Children with Autism, Pingree Board,  Granite School District Community Council at Wasatch Jr. High, The Autism Council of Utah, and she was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Utah Special Education Advisory Panel (USEAP) to represent Individuals with Disabilities/Parents of Students with Disabilities.  The boards and committees allow her to focus her efforts on advocating for individuals with all types of disabilities.  Jessica finds great joy in serving others and helping them have their voices he heard.

  1. Kathy Giatras says:

My son is severly handicapped. He has to be put out to have a dentist look at his teeth.
Medicade will no longer cover this and my son and others in his situation will not have prevention for sever problems that can be caused by not having good dental checkups. This is horrible and I need some help and advise on how I can be a voice to stop this tragedy?

  2. Jared Allred says:

I’d like to know how my construction company, Reliance Reconstruction, which specializes in property renewal for aging-in-place seniors and families with disabled members can better serve the members of this community.

  3. I WANT TO SEE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MY SON TO GET ADVOCACY TRAINING IN GIVING SPEECHES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE BETTERMENT OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. HE’S A SPOKESPERSON BUT ONE CAN ALWAYS HAVE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
