Training? Or does it mean what it says?

My husband & I drove our two special kiddos 150+miles to play in a league a few years ago. We then decided to work with our mayor and decided to start our own league. I would love to offer more suggestions if you are interested. You can contact me at rhoadeschristie@gmail.com

The prioritization list is a list of services that the committee will consider appropriating additional state funds to. Currently IL and AT services are not anywhere on the list. We NEED to be on the list if we want any chance of receiving funds to increase and sustain existing services.Building Blocks we are requesting to have put on the prioritization list:•Independent Living Centers (IL) pass through funding for the six IL Centers across the state to provide independent living skills training, accessing personal assistance services, accessible affordable housing, moving people out of nursing homes and back into the community and assistive technology. $300,000•Assistive Technology (AT) One time funds to purchase IL assistive technology devices and services. Ongoing funds received July 1st were totally encumbered by previous waiting list. Current waiting list as of 1-26-12 is $227,953.60. $200,000The prioritization list will go out Monday or Tuesday of next week. We need to talk with members of the committee and request that they put these building blocks onto the list. They can make motion to add them during committee meeting, or make motion to have them added during caucus or to make a request to the Committees fiscal analyst. Please contact members of the committee and ask them to do what they can to have these services added to the list.

Have you tried calling the BTA and asking them if they would consider coming to Jensen? I would be glad to call as well and let them know there is a need in that area.

Comment on BTA changing to meet demand in Uintah Basin by Geri turner http://utahgap.org/blog/bta-changing-to-meet-demand-in-uintah-basin/#comment-10596 Geri turner Mon, 29 Oct 2012 04:56:49 +0000 http://utahgap.org/blog/?p=499#comment-10596 You all talk about Roosevelt and duchesse, there’s a whole other community of people that might use the system if it were to come to Jensen. I know of one possibly two for starters, one of which is special needs, the high price of gas makes it difficult to continue to drive to and from town as much as four times a day to provide transportation for my son to go to work.
